Pro Tip
A single-piece liner with no joins is always preferable. EPDM is highly flexible and ideal for ponds of all shapes. Where joins are unavoidable, overlap by at least 300mm using proper liner joining tape, away from corners.
Important Considerations
- Use maximum depth: Always measure the deepest point of your pond, not the average.
- Overlap included: Calculations include 0.5m (50cm) overlap on all sides for securing the liner edge.
- Irregular shapes: Use the longest length, widest width, and deepest depth of your pond.
Quick Reference
- Liner Length = Pond Length + (2 x Depth) + 1m
- Liner Width = Pond Width + (2 x Depth) + 1m
- Results are rounded up to the nearest 0.5m
- For circular ponds, treat the diameter as both length and width
